Matthew 6:33 (Amplified Bible)

33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

If we truly understand the love God has for us, His love will empower us to seek His Kingdom and His righteousness first, then He promises that the rest will follow.

We are to seek the Giver more than we are to seek His gifts. The Giver is as the root of a tree to the gifts as the gifts are the fruit of a tree to the root, which is the Giver, God.

God’s Kingdom is in heaven, but God has made a way that He can come in our hearts now on earth because if we realise that we are poor in spirit, realise the seriousness of sin and see our brokenness and our need for a Saviour, we can repent and invite Jesus to become the King in our hearts. If we are king in our lives, our lives become a mess, and we eventually fall in a pit. But if we keep giving our hearts to Him, then God will turn our mess into our message, and He will get all the glory.

His love and His passion for us and His power is at the root of all that we do for Him, as we are dead to ourselves, His desire will lead us to seek His Kingdom, so that He will get all the glory. He said that His Kingdom is now in our hearts:

Luke 17:20-21 (Amplified Bible)

20 Asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied to them by saying, The kingdom of God does not come with signs to be observed or with visible display, 21 Nor will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, [it is] there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you].

And Jesus is the living Word, and He purchased and paid with His life for us to be restored in our relationship with God.

It is vitally important, to live the victorious life, to make Jesus the King of your life, so you can trust Him to guide you and to teach you by the power of the Holy Spirit to live in victory over darkness.

I pray that if you have not invited Jesus into your heart, and made Him King over your life, you would do so now. You will find the prayer to invite Him into your heart at the end of this booklet.

I also pray that if you have accepted Jesus into your heart, He would remain your King and your ruler in all that you are and do.
